- חֲמַץch. (preced. wds.) 1) to be hot, (of color) red, v. חִימּוּצָא, חִימּוּצָתָא. 2) to be sour, salty Pa. חַמֵּיץ to put to shame. Targ. Prov. 10:1 (h. text תוגת), v. חִימּוּצָא.
